About the project

The project "Heritage of Science. University Collections and Community Development" makes the public aware of the importance of the Polish history of science and academic heritage as an important determinant of national identity and national heritage. The project was an excellent opportunity to learn about the study of Polish national heritage and profiles of outstanding Poles, including their scientific achievements (their achievements, scientific works, discoveries).

PROMOTING
THE UNIVERSITY'S HERITAGE

Our goal is to actively disseminate the rich history and heritage of universities, highlighting their role in shaping culture, science and society. We organize exhibitions, conferences and publish catalogs that show unique museum collections and the history of individual institutions. Through these activities, we promote the value of the academic legacy, inspiring the next generations to learn about the past of their universities.

FACILITATING ACCESS TO MUSEUM RESOURCES

We aim to make museum resources more accessible, both through stationary activities and digital initiatives. Our projects include digitizing collections, creating interactive exhibitions and virtual tours, which allows the general public to freely access academic heritage collections.

INTEGRATION OF THE ACADEMIC COMMUNITY

We focus on building strong ties between university museums and the academic community, creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience. We organize lecture series, conferences and meetings that integrate museum professionals, researchers and students, fostering cooperation between different institutions. In this way, we strengthen the community that actively participates in shaping and promoting academic heritage.
